Session Experience
Your family session will take place outdoors in one of Wollongong’s beautiful locations, whether that’s the coastline, gardens, or a natural bush setting. Children are free to run, play and be themselves while I capture genuine smiles, laughter, and those quiet in-between moments too.
Sessions include a mix of:
- The whole family together
- Parents with children
- Siblings together
- Each parent with the children
- Individual portraits of each family member
Extended family are always welcome, and photographing grandparents with their little ones often creates some of the most meaningful memories.

What to Wear for Your Photography Session
Your photos should feel timeless, natural, and full of connection — and what you wear helps create that look. Here are a few simple tips to make choosing outfits easy.
Keep it Simple and Natural
Soft, neutral tones like beige, cream, white, sage, blush, and dusty blue photograph beautifully and suit our clean, organic style.
Avoid bright colours, heavy patterns, and logos — we want the focus on your faces and connection.
Coordinate
Choose 2–4 complementary tones and mix textures like linen, knit, and cotton for warmth and interest. Everyone should look cohesive, not identical.
Comfort Comes First
You’ll be cuddling, playing, and moving — so choose outfits that fit well and feel good. For little ones, avoid clothing that needs constant adjusting.
Add Texture and Layers
Soft fabrics and gentle layers (cardigans, wraps, hats) add depth and can easily be changed for variety.
Families & Children
Bare feet are always welcome for relaxed, natural photos. Keep outfits simple — dresses, shorts, and tops in soft tones work beautifully.
Maternity & Newborn
For maternity, flowing dresses or fitted knits in neutral shades flatter your bump perfectly.
For newborns, stick with simple, soft outfits or swaddles — neutral tones and gentle textures keep the focus on your baby.
Finishing Touches
Natural hair and makeup photograph best. Avoid heavy foundation or glitter. Remove watches and hair ties for a clean, polished look.
