We’re so excited to photographing your little one! This page will guide you through the process—from registration to photo delivery—so you know exactly what to expect.


Step 1 - Register Your Child


  • Each child must be registered 
  • Siblings need to be registered individually and final galleries can not be combined.
  • $30 registration fee secures your child’s session and is credited toward your order.
  • Registration is essential—unregistered children will not be photographed.
  • Please read the Terms of Purchase before registering.

Step 2 - Preparing for Photo Day


  • Talk to your child about photo day—let them know “Bec” will be taking their photo in a fun, playful way.
  • Shy kids? Additional Needs?
  • Don’t worry! We work gently and have plenty of tricks up our sleeve (apologies in advance if “Daddy’s Got Stinky Feet” becomes their new catchphrase).
  • Clothing tips:
  • Dress for the weather.
  • Solid, neutral colours photograph best.
  • Avoid slogans, busy patterns, red, and fluoro near faces.
  • Pack a spare outfit (just in case).

But most importantly—if Elsa or Spiderman is the outfit of choice, go with it. Happy kids = great photos!

Step 3 - During Photo Day/Week


  • Each registered child is photographed individually (approx. 6–10 portraits).
  • Class Photo: A composite class portrait is created—each child is included individually.
  • Siblings: We’ll do our best to capture siblings together, but individual registrations are required for each child. Sibling photos are not guaranteed due to nap times, meals, or comfort levels.

Step 4 - Viewing & Order


  • Photos are carefully edited and uploaded to your private online gallery usually within 1–3 weeks.
  • You’ll receive an email with your gallery link and password.
  • Ordering is completed online—you’ll have approximately one week to place your order.
  • Please choose carefully—digital photographs cannot be refunded or exchanged.


Step 5 - Delivery


  • Digital orders: Photographs are delivered via instant download via email.
  • Print orders: Delivered to your childcare centre approx. 2 weeks after orders close (longer around Christmas).

About Your Photographer

I’m Rebecca Jones, professional photographer and founder of Bump to Bounce Photography. I’ve photographed thousands of children across the Illawarra and beyond, specialising in capturing natural expressions and genuine moments.
With a background working in childcare, professional-grade Canon equipment, and the best local printing partners, I ensure every family receives portraits they’ll treasure for years.
I’m also Mum to two boys—so I know firsthand how quickly these years fly by!

Terms of Purchase (Quick Guide)


By registering your child, you agree to the following:

  • Minimum spend: $40 per child.
  • Registration fee: $30 (+ transaction fee) payable at registration. Credited toward your order. Refundable only if your child is absent due to illness.
  • One child, one registration: Each child must be registered individually. Sibling photos are not guaranteed.
  • Orders: Must be placed online within the ordering period allocated. Full payment is due at time of order.
  • Photographs: You’ll receive 6–10 portraits to choose from. Our focus is natural expressions—sometimes this means laughter, sometimes more thoughtful looks. We can’t promise a big smile every time, but we always aim to capture something beautiful.
  • Clothing: Parents are responsible for dressing children. We’ll help reschedule if possible, but clothing choice does not affect the purchase agreement.
  • Digital orders: Instant downloads are final. No refunds or exchanges once purchased.
  • Print orders: Delivered to your childcare centre for collection.
  • Copyright: All photographs remain the property of Bump to Bounce Photography. You receive unlimited, non-exclusive rights for personal use (printing, sharing with family). Commercial use such as modelling portfolios business promotion and editing/filtering is not permitted.

Privacy: Your child’s photographs and personal information are kept secure. We never sell or share photographs. We only use photographs for promotion if you have given explicit permission.

Parent FAQ - Childcare Photography


Do I need to register my child?

Yes. Only registered children are photographed. Each child must be registered individually.

How much does it cost?

Registration is $30 per child and is credited towards your order. The minimum spend is $40 per child. You can select the photographs in the sizes and quantities that suit your family and your budget.

What if my child is sick on photo day?

If your child is absent due to illness, your registration fee will be refunded.

How many photos will I get?

You’ll receive a private online gallery with 6–10 portraits of your child to choose from.

Will siblings be photographed together?

We do our best to capture siblings together, but it’s not guaranteed due to nap times, meals, or children’s comfort levels. Each child must be registered individually.

What should my child wear?

Solid, neutral colours photograph best. Avoid busy prints, slogans, red, and neon tones near faces. Pack a spare outfit just in case. That said, if Elsa or Spiderman is the favourite outfit, that’s okay too—happy kids make the best photos!

When will I see the photos?

Galleries are usually ready in 1–3 weeks (a little longer in peak season, August–November).

How do I order?

Ordering is online only. You’ll receive an email with a secure link and password for your gallery. You have one week to place your order.

What happens if I lose my password?

No problem—we’ll ask a few security questions linked to your registration before reissuing it.

Can I combine packages for siblings?

No. Each order is per child and packages cannot be combined.

What if I don’t like the photos?

With 6–10 portraits of each child, it’s likely you’ll find at least one you like. We capture a range of natural expressions—sometimes smiles, sometimes thoughtful looks. Whilst we do out utmost to bring out each child's personality within a reasonable timeframe, we will never force a child who is is unwilling to participate. Refunds are not offered if you simply don’t like the style of your child’s portraits. Your registration fee covers our staff wages (no-one works for free!) and the costs involved in the administration, editing and presentation process.

When will I get my order?

  • Digital files: Available instantly by download.
  • Prints: Delivered to your childcare centre approx. 2 weeks after orders close (a little longer at Christmas).

What if there’s an error with my order?

We’re only human! If a print is missing or incorrect, return it to your centre and email us at bumptobounce@outlook.com. We’ll fix it promptly.

How is my child’s privacy protected?

All galleries are password-protected and unique to your family. Photographs are securely archived and never shared or sold. We only use photos for promotion if you’ve given explicit permission.
